Welcome to the Park Group
The Park group has been working on four major research topics:
(1) understanding ion transport in polymer electrolytes to improve device performance
(2) designing organic-inorganic hybrid materials with an aim to improve their charge storage properties
(3) investigating the electromechanical behavior of ion-containing polymers to pave the way for advanced biomimetic technologies
(4) to exploit fluorescence in non-conjugated amorphous polymer electrolytes to expand the category of highly-efficient light-emitting materials.
In all cases, the principle objective has been to develop a fundamental understanding of the chemistry of molecular interactions.
